Meet Lauren

Lauren Mims is the Co-Founder and President of 100 Women of the Coastal Bend, where she has helped lead the organization from its inception in 2021 into a thriving community of women committed to making a lasting impact through collective giving.

Inspired by the belief that ordinary individuals can create extraordinary change when they come together, Lauren co-founded the organization to provide women with a simple, meaningful way to invest in the communities they call home.

Lauren is passionate about servant leadership, building strong relationships, and creating opportunities for others to make a difference. She believes that the organization's greatest accomplishment is not only the dollars invested in the community, but the culture of generosity, collaboration, and purpose that its members have built together.

Outside of her nonprofit work, Lauren is a first-grade teacher who is passionate about education and helping children develop a lifelong love of learning. She is honored to serve alongside an incredible Board of Directors and remains grateful to every member whose generosity continues to strengthen the Coastal Bend.

With a total of four children at home, on a typical weekend you will find them at the beach, at the football or baseball field, or spending time exploring our Sparkling City by the Sea.

“I once was told that your calling just might be found at the place where your gifting and the world's needs meet.  I believe I may have found my calling in 100 Women of the Coastal Bend. I have fallen in love with this community, and I’m thrilled for the opportunity to come together with other women who care to give back to it in a meaningful way!”

1 Peter 4:10, “As each has received a gift, use it to serve another, as good stewards of God's varied grace.”
